District 66 - Voter Registration Event

About The Event
Agenda: We will meet at the Outreach Center promptly at 0930 for a brief, required orientation covering current Florida voter registration requirements. We will allow as much time as needed to answer questions and go over materials that will be distributed. We will then break down into small groups and canvass the area near the Outreach Center. Participants are welcome to be flexible in the time they spend canvassing based upon individual needs and the weather. Drinking water will be available.
1. Please download the Mini-Van app to your smartphone and set up a username and password in advance. The app is available where you usually obtain your apps such as the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. Using this app is easier than using paper walk-lists and the data you obtain is automatically uploaded into VAN. If you are unable to download the app, or are having difficulties with it, come to the canvass anyway! We will have paper backups and clipboards.
2. We will work safely and apply CDC Guidelines. We ask that you refrain from participation in canvassing at this time if you are not vaccinated or are not feeling well (elevated temp, cough, sore throat, unusual tiredness). Please bring a mask with you. We will socially distance while indoors, or move outdoors based upon attendance numbers and weather.
3. While we hope that we find lots of new Dems and get them registered, a major goal for this initial event is to give our newer PCPs a chance to experience voter registration and canvassing alongside more experienced individuals. So please join us whether you are new or a pro!
